In the old town of Pézenas, in France, my paintings find their refuge, adding a timeless poetry to the historic atmosphere of this storied city.
My work, deeply infused with the places I have lived and traveled since childhood, embraces a contemporary aesthetic.
Yet, within my compositions, there lingers an ambiance reminiscent of an Oriental tale: the interplay of colors—ochres, browns, beiges, delicate blues and greens—the shimmering presence of textures, and the feeling of a secluded garden imbue my artworks with an overall softness.
Decorative motifs and collage elements inhabit my canvases, blurring the boundary between figures and their surroundings.
Each painting evolves progressively, through multiple layers and reworkings, welcoming both intuition and chance. These delicate and refined layers weave a unique soul within the overlapping techniques.
I do not seek to represent reality, but to create a timeless universe where the imaginary and the lived intertwine, where real life converses with the invisible.
I reflect on the unique way in which moments of life, dreams, emotions, and the atmosphere around us shape creativity. Every detail, every feeling becomes a source of inspiration that nurtures my work.
Each creation begins with a desire: a color, a state of mind, an atmosphere imprinted within me. I paint instinctively, allowing forms, textures, and colors to emerge as if they had always existed.
The canvas or paper becomes a refuge for fragments of life, emotions, memories—both real and imagined. I blend strength and delicacy, guided by intuition and chance.
The patterns—engraved, textured, or applied—overlap to form a rich, diverse world. In this apparent chaos, I search for harmony, for landmarks, and for infinite poetry.
My materials vary: canvas, wood, paper. My techniques intersect: acrylics, pastels, collages, pigments, oils, prints… Each piece becomes an intimate writing, a language I invent every day.
Free to suggest, imagine, and redefine the color of the sky, I shape my own artistic world.
Oeuvre sur toile
Painting is the language I create for myself day by day; a personal, intimate writing, free to speak of what surrounds me, the feelings I experience, the fragility of being and things, and the questioning of their fate.
My “imagined-lived” world has gradually met the ordinary life, becoming a possible translation between the figurative and the abstract.
